Monday's activity in the morning with the Baylor students was touring Westminster Abbey. This was a great activity since the Abbey is one of Great Britain's national treasures and it is filled with memorials to some of the most important people in the country's history. We truly enjoyed visiting the Abbey a second time. A place like this can be a little overwhelming the first visit. There is so much to see, hear and take in that, inevitably, some things are going to get missed. One thing that was interesting on this visit was seeing the memorial to C.S . Lewis. It was unveiled on the 50th anniversary of his death (Nov. 2013), so it was not there on our last visit.

After Westminster, we made the trip out to Greenwich to see The Royal Observatory where was the Prime Meridian was set, dividing the Eastern and Western Hemispheres.
East and West Hemispheres can be friends!
We also visited The National Maritime Museum. The Royal Naval College has twin domes designed by Christopher Wren, the same person who designed a number of domes throughout the London area, including St. Paul's Cathedral.
It was a great day filled with history, science and something for everyone!
