We meet every Wednesday with several other homeschooling families in Waco for Classical Conversations. This program gives structure and accountability to our homeschool. It also has been the source of some of our deepest friendships over the past five years.
This week, it was our turn to do our "family presentation" in the large group opening session, so of course, we talked about why we won't be there the rest of the semester. We showed students where the U.K., Scotland and, specifically, St. Andrews are on the world map, indicating the similar latitude to Juneau, Alaska.
After identifying the general structure of the program, the boys talked about the house we will be living in and hosting weekly student meals as well as some of the activities they are looking forward to doing while we are there.
We will miss our CC community, but are confident that we will be able to stay connected through today's technology. :-)
