Hogmanay - Scottish New Year

     Hogmanay - The Scottish word for New Year's Eve which carries over to New Years Day and maybe even through January 2nd!  The origins of the word are unclear, perhaps Gaelic or Norse language brought to Scotland via Vikings.  Others even attribute it to the French.  No matter where it came from, it carries BIG and strange traditions.  See some of them here:
